These are images from a photo shoot I did with my good friends, photographer Zach Hill and model Katie Ashcraft. Basically the idea behind this shoot came from a spread in a magazine I saw with Shakira; she was wearing thigh high boots with a black leotard with huge shoulder pads, it was so inspiring to me that I felt compelled to bring that idea to life with my own inflection. We had a plan to go shoot in the mesa, when we were driving and spotted this amazing graffiti wall.... the rest was just magic.

The make-up look I was going for was dark and very contoured, I wanted it to be dramatic so i tried to use an everyday look and just spice it up a bit by using darker shades and elongating her natural crease. I used eyeshadows taupe and black by MUD and Oyster by SmashBox for the highlight on her brow bone, black liquid and pencil eyeliner by Stila. For hair I wrapped her long hair around styrofoam balls and tied it with black rubber bands (and A LOT of hairspray).
